Quality Improvement
|
Kamira is committed to continuous quality improvement.
In 2017 Kamira instituted a comprehensive client outcome data collection system, substantially expanding on our current NADAbase system. We are now collecting data on the full range of outcomes that our program impacts on, including parenting outcomes, additional drug and alcohol and mental health outcomes, a battery of socio/legal/medical measures and client satisfaction outcomes. This will enable us to evaluate the impact of our program far more comprehensively than has been possible in the past. In addition we have strengthened our follow up data collection protocols, to ensure that we get much better data on how our clients progress after they leave Kamira. We currently have good intake/exit data collection protocols. Our aim is to collect data from as many clients as possible at 3 months, 6 months and 1 and 2 year follow up. To do this, our intake officer has taken on data collection responsibilities, and we have implemented a range of measures to keep in contact with our clients once they graduate. These developments will contribute significantly to quality improvement. We now will be able to determine what areas of our program are working particularly well, and what areas less so – and how long the benefits of our program are sustained. This will give us the information to improve the service we deliver to our clients and also our client outcomes. |
