Kamira was established in 1982 on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It was created in response to the growing need for residential alcohol and other drug treatment for women with children in NSW.
Kamira has a governance committee comprised of women from our community. It receives funding from NSW Ministry of Health, and the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing, and HNECC Primary Health Network. Kamira provides alcohol and other drug treatment services for women with or without children from across the state of NSW, Australia. OUR PURPOSE Kamira provides a place of enduring value for women and families to support them to thrive beyond alcohol and other drug dependency. WE BELIEVE Everybody has the ability to recover. Everybody has the right to access quality treatment. That building strong relationships with family and significant others is the foundation to long lasting recovery. SERVICES OFFERED Kamira provides residential treatment for pregnant women, women with or without children, and their family and significant others. |

offering services for women since 1982. The Organisation is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and receives funding from: NSW Health, Department for Health and Ageing, and HNECC Primary Health Network. Kamira is a non government, not for profit registered charity. |
